Core wine company is a family run, small production winery located in Santa Maria, California. Core Wine concentrates on making wine in a unique vineyard driven style to produce complex and satisfying wines. The philosophy of Core is to make wines from vineyards farmed on the principles of sustainable agriculture and the active participation of the people who are making the wine, bottling the wine, and even selling the wine — now do you get the meaning of CORE? This is a very “hands on” winery; depending on the time of year, the husband and wife owners spend anywhere from 12-30 hours a week in the vineyard. They’re able to do most of the vineyard work themselves and be involved in every aspect of the winemaking process. And this is what we here at Anne’s love about boutique wines, the smaller the production (500 cases of this wine in this case), the better and more consistent the quality. This fantastic Grenache has 15% Syrah added to it, giving it beautiful aromas of red raspberries, cranberries, and a touch of vanilla that comes from the 20 months of aging in neutral oak. The palate will be treated to silky tannins, medium body, and a rush of raspberry and cranberry flavors that linger through the lengthy finish. The acidity is well balanced and perfect for pairing with all the traditional Thanksgiving foods. Open about an hour before consuming and enjoy with the roasted turkey at Thanksgiving or try it with roasted pork also! $20.99 …during the month of November this wine is priced for wine club members at $17.84.
Camp Galhan is a family winery and vineyards that has been making wine since the beginning of the 1900s. The winery gets its name from the Roman camp, Galhan, that was located in Nimes, right in the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, where the weather and soil have been producing some fantastic wines during the last ten years. Although the valleys are primarily used for farming fruits and vegetables, the hillsides above these valleys, however, are where the best vineyards are found. Domaine Camp Galhan’s vineyards use organic methods to grow the grapes and produce their wines. Domaine Galhan is considered to be producing some of the best wine in the entire region. The “Le Malivert” white blend takes it name from the vineyard in which the grapes are grown. These vineyards, surrounding the winery, are planted on the ancient terraces of the Gardon River. The wine is vinified and aged in stainless steel tanks with regular bâtonnage (stirring of the lees). This wine is un-oaked to help maintain the bright, fresh, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Roussanne fruit flavors. The nose is bright and floral, from the very aromatic Sauvignon Blanc. In the mouth the Roussanne softens the Sauvignon Blanc and adds rich peach and stone fruit flavors. The finish is bright and clean with a nice hint of minerality. In the “Malivert”, Thanksgiving dinner will pair perfectly with this wine, we recommend a couple of bottles on your table this Thanksgiving. Normal price is $15.99 but during the month of November wine club members can get it for only $15.99 but during the month of November wine club members can get it for only $13.59.
Red Only wine club members receive the Equis – Equinox Crozes Hermitage and:
Stepping Stone wines are the side project of Cornerstone Winery located in Napa Valley. Their mission is to bring memorable, exciting wines that are affordable yet exciting enough to pair with your best dishes. With this wine we believe they have a hit…especially for this month’s celebration; Thanksgiving. The blend may change from year to year and they prefer to keep the actual grape varietals used a secret; however, we’ll let you in on that one. This one is 90% Zinfandel and 10% Pinot Noir, the two best grapes to pair with roasted turkey. The nose will greet you with earthy aromas leading to bright cherry notes.
On the palette, this wine has beautiful bright cranberry and raspberry notes with acidity and tannins all nicely balanced. This wine was lightly oaked for 9 months in French barrels. Open this bottle about ½ hour before consuming and pair with all the traditional Thanksgiving fare. This wine is normally priced at $15.99 but during the month of November wine club members can get it for only $13.59.
White Only wine club members receive the Camp Galhan – Le Malivert White Blend and:
Les Hospices Sancerre is a new project by renowned Loire wine producer Pierre Chainier. Sancerre is one of the oldest terroirs in France, dating back to the 6th century. The original vineyards, mostly with Pinot grapes, were destroyed by phylloxera in the late 19th century and widely replaced by Sauvignon, which is particularly suited to the climate. The status of AOC was awarded to white Sancerre wines in 1936 and the terroir stretches over 6000 acres. The vines are on the banks of the Loire Valley, east of Bourges, in the heart of France. This 100% Sauvignon Blanc was fermented entirely in stainless steel, which keeps the bright fruit notes. White-yellow with silver reflections in color. Lively and full of fruit, with pleasant minerals. Floral notes of white flowers (acacia & lemon flowers) and citrus fruit aromas, backed up by blackcurrant buds and wild flowers. Les Hospices, with its quality/price ratio, is one of the benchmarks of Sancerre! Perfect as an aperitif and with goat cheese as an appetizer. Normal price is $18.99 but during November its only $16.14 for wine club members.

Remember, if you purchase any of the wines listed above during the month of NOVEMBER 2011, you will receive a 15% discount, an additional 5% discount to your normal (all the time) 10% discount. Thank you, sincerely for your business.
