From our flagship vineyard, Angela Estate planted in 2006 on ancient marine sedimentary soils with Wadenswil, Dijon 777 & 115. This gorgeous 2012 vintage made by Ken Wright exhibits all of the beautiful floral and spice elements we typically see on this site; rose petal, plum, hibiscus, root beer / cherry cola, mouth-filling juicy red raspberry and a seamless white pepper finish. The body and tannins have a medium-plus intensity exhibiting flavors of white pepper spice, plum skin, stewed cherries, cedar shavings, root beer candy, nutmeg, wet fresh mulch and dried rose hips. A divine wine and perfect generous vintage. Ideal growing conditions, long hang time and perfectly ripe fruit has created a lush, full and velvety Pinot Noir.
Wine SpectatorEarthy, vegetal flavors predominate, backed by ripe cherry and plum fruit. The savory side wins in the end. Not for all tastes, but a distinctive and intense style. Best from 2016 through 2020. 2,800 cases made.
